Undergraduate Programs
The Armstrong Atlantic State University Baccalaureate Nursing Program offers an innovative and flexible Baccalaureate Nursing Program for preparation as an entry level professional nurse. This program is designed for first degree students, second degree or other students wanting to change careers. Both full-time and part-time programs of study are available.
The Baccalaureate Nursing Program is approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing. The AASU Department of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Accreditation is an indication of public approbation, attesting to the quality of the educational program and the continued commitment of the sponsoring institution to support the program.
AASU's undergraduate curriculum (BSN) has several tracks to meet
the educational needs of Southeastern Georgia and the coastal region.
- The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed for students interested in pursuing baccalaureate nursing education.
- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) may apply for the Advanced Placement Track program. This special track allows LPN/LVN's to obtain baccalaureate nursing education by challenging clinical courses within the nursing program of study.
- Registered nurses desiring to expand their knowledge and educational credentials may enroll in our Registered Nurse Options program. This program provides the RN student with the option of completing a baccalaureate nursing degree, or completion of the baccalaureate and master's degree.
